In 2009, the Cooper Trooper Foundation (CTF) was founded to champion the fight against childhood cancer by supporting siblings and funding research. Thirteen years later, CTF launched a competitive student volunteer internship to give high school students in Middle Tennessee an opportunity to help lead CTF's annual pumpkin patch, their primary fundraiser. These funds allow CTF to develop and distribute Cooper Trooper Courage Kits to help address the emotional needs of siblings of children diagnosed with cancer—who are at greater risk for anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder—as well as support crucial research at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt to find cures for the leading cause of death by disease for children in the US. If you are a rising senior, and if this is a cause you are passionate about, we encourage you to apply for CTF's student volunteer internship by June 16, 2024! You can follow this link (https://coopertrooper.org/student-internship-application/) to access the application and support the Cooper Trooper Foundation in their mission to support families that are diagnosed with pediatric cancer today and to help find the cure for tomorrow.
